2020 CTT Correios de Portugal : Superman

On June 1, 2020, CTT Correios de Portugal, S.A. issued a series of four
commemorative Superman
postage stamps. The
Superman stamp images are from the 2017 Justice League: Rebirth Style Guide, penciled by José Luis García-López and inked by Brett Breeding.
Each Superman stamp measures 30.6 x 40 mm. Four-stamp booklets retail for
€2.44 and are limited to 5,000 units. Each stamp contains paid postage
for Portugal national mail up to 20 grams. The stamps were designed by MAD
Activities in Lisbon, and printed by CTT.
Collector sheets measure 30 x 40 cm. Each sheet is numbered and limited to
4,000 copies. The collector sheet was designed by Carla Caraça Ramos and
printed by Futuro, Lda. The collector sheet data is printed in
Portuguese and English.
First Day Cover cancellations were issued in Lisbon on June 1, 2020. CTT
issued similar DC Comics stamp series for Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn, The
Flash, and Wonder Woman. The collections are part of the 500 Year
celebration of Portugal postal service. On August 24, 2020, CTT issued a
series of commemorative stamps showcasing the 2017 film
Justice League.
