2023 Australia Post : Superman 85th Anniversary
The Superman 85th Anniversary series of commemorative
postage stamps was
issued by Australia Post on June 13, 2023. Stamp sheet booklets retail for
$17.50 AUD. Each booklet contains twelve $1.20 AUD postage stamps and a
sheetlet of twelve Superman stickers. The stamp series features five Superman
style guide illustrations penciled by José Luis García-López and inked by
Brett Breeding.
In September 2013, Canada Post released the Superman 75th Anniversary collection of commemorative stamps and postcards. Australia Post
previously issued Superman postage stamps in the
Justice League
series in 2017, and the
DC Comics
series in 2022.
The Superman 85th Anniversary stamp booklet cover was
illustrated by Jim Lee, President of DC Comics. In July 2023, the design
was released as a limited edition action figure and trading card by
McFarlane Toys.
