The Challenge of the Superfriends Card Game
was released by Cryptozoic Entertainment on April 17, 2019. The artwork is
based on the third series of
Super Friends
cartoons that aired from September 9, 1978, to December 23, 1978, on ABC.
Players choose between Aquaman, Batman & Robin, Superman, or Wonder Woman
in order to defeat the Legion of Doom. The Power Decks include team allies and
special super powers for each main hero.
The Cryptozoic GRYPHON card game engine is structured for 2–4 players and fast-paced gameplay that lasts about 25 minutes. The game was designed by Matt Riddle and Ben Pinchback. There are 82 total game cards including four 10-card Power Decks.
