1958 Kane Products Ltd. : Kane's ATV Pocket Pack
In 1958, Kane Products Ltd. of Sussex released a 36-card collection on box
panels of Kane's ATV Pocket Pack candy. The Associated
TeleVision (ATV) celebrity images also appear in the
ATV Stars
card series from Snap Card Products Ltd.
Each ATV Pocket Pack panel measures approximately 1.5 x 2.875 inches, small than a standard trading card. The card panels are unnumbered and the backs are blank. A collector album was sold separately by mail order for nine
pence.
George Reeves appears as Superman in a recolored promotional photo from
The Adventures of Superman television series. he series aired for six seasons from 1952–1958, and began syndication in 1965. A series of Superman Trading Cards was released by Topps Chewing Gum from 1965–1966.
