2002 Inkworks : Smallville Season One Premium Trading Cards

Smallville Season One Premium Trading Cards were released by Inkworks
Inc. on November 13, 2002. Boxes contain 36 packs of 7 cards. Each
factory-sealed box contains at least one complete base set of 90 cards.
Season one of Smallville premiered on The WB Television Network on
October 16, 2001. The critically acclaimed series starred Tom Welling as an
adolescent Clark Kent in his adopted Kansas hometown. Due to the legal battle
over the rights to
Superboy, the
name was not used in the series until season 5. Smallville aired for 10
seasons until May 13, 2011.
Six cast members have signed autograph cards for this set. The odds of finding
an autograph card are approximately 1:59 packs. "Pieceworks" cards feature
show-worn costume memorabilia from season one. The odds of finding a
"Pieceworks" insert card are approximately 1:59 packs.
One of three promo cards were inserted into CD copies of
Smallville: The Talon Mix, the first official soundtrack release for
the show. The album was released on February 25, 2003.
A sealed nine-card Smallville Preview Set was also released in 2002 to
promote the series. A limited edition Smallville Preview Set numbered
to 600 copies was distributed at the 2002 San Diego International Comic-Con.
The numbered set includes a foil parallel of card PR-1.
Inkworks also released trading card sets for Smallville seasons

5, and
6. Cryptozoic
Entertainment released a single set encompassing
seasons 7-10.
In 2020, Tom Welling and Erica Durance would reprise their roles as Clark Kent
and Lois Lane in
The CW
"Crisis on Infinite Earths"
crossover event.
