2024 Upper Deck : DC Preview Cards
DC Super Heroes and Super Villains trading cards are forthcoming from The Upper Deck Company and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products.
The partnership was officially announced on June 13, 2024. The 2023–24 DC Annual Inaugural Edition is scheduled for release on January 6, 2025. Planned releases include Fleer Ultra Superman,
DC Masterpieces, DC Unbound, and
SkyBox Metal Universe Batman.
Superman is featured on a limited Upper Deck DC Preview card sold exclusively on
the e-Pack website from June 13–20, 2024. Each e-Pack contained one
preview card with short print foil color variations distributed in Red (1:25)
and Blue (1:50). The preview card artwork reprints the cover of
Action Comics #1000 (June 2018). The image was penciled by Jim Lee,
inked Scott Williams, and colored by Alex Sinclair.
The back of the Upper Deck DC Preview card features Superman
illustrations by Fred Ray, Jim Lee, Neal Adams, and Curt Swan.
Fleer/SkyBox previously distributed DC Comics and Superman trading cards from
1991–1997. The Fleer and SkyBox brands were acquired by The Upper Deck Company
in 2005. Upper Deck Entertainment produced DC Comics sets and expansions for the Vs. System trading card game from 2004–2007.
